RANK 1 AT PERFECT GAME

Gavin Longo and What an Off Season Build Actually Produces

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Gavin Longo just went out and took the top spot in the pitching rankings at a Perfect Game tournament.

Here are the numbers:

27 outs. 9.0 innings pitched. 14 strikeouts. 77 MPH fastball. 4 hits. 2 walks. 4 earned runs.

For a 14U pitcher, that is a complete performance. Dominant strike-throwing, high strikeout volume, and the durability to go deep into a game when it mattered most. Those numbers do not show up on a scorecard by accident.

Gavin trains remotely with Pitching Development Systems. He lives nowhere near Salt Lake City. We have never worked together in person. Every session, every throwing plan, every piece of his development has been built and delivered remotely β€” and this is what it produced on the biggest stage in youth baseball.

WHAT THE OFF SEASON BUILD LOOKED LIKE

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Gavin came in with real ability and a genuine willingness to work. What we gave him was structure.

The off season focused on building the physical and mechanical foundation that performance demands β€” not just throwing more, but throwing with a real system behind every session. Structured activation before each session. Pre-throw corrective work to address specific physical and mechanical needs. A throwing program with intentional variation in volume, intensity, and load across the week. Post-throw arm care to protect and build the shoulder through a high-demand period.

Nothing complicated. Nothing that required him to be in the same room as me. Just a clear daily framework executed consistently over the course of an off season β€” and the results showed up exactly when they were supposed to.

This is what the right system, applied consistently, produces.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOUR SON

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Gavin’s result is not a lucky outcome. It is a predictable one β€” when the training is structured correctly and the athlete commits to the process.

Most youth pitchers are working hard but training without a system. No clear framework for how a daily session should be built. No intentional variation in their throwing. No structured recovery after the arm has been taxed. Just activity without direction.

We have two resources available right now that address this directly.

β†’ Building Dominant Pitching: A Daily Workflow

The roadmap Gavin used as the foundation of his off season build. A structured daily framework for pitchers ages 10-14 and the parents and coaches who support them. Four blocks. Clear reasoning behind every phase. Available now for $9.99.

β†’ The 12-Week Remote Pitcher Development Plan

For athletes who are ready for a program built specifically around them β€” their movement patterns, their physical profile, and their development goals. Fully remote. Delivered through the Bridge Training App. This is what Gavin does. $499, one time, no recurring fees.

Congratulations to Gavin and his family. Rank 1 at Perfect Game is earned β€” and the work you put in this off season is exactly what made it possible. More to come.
